A Day out in London

Today I enjoyed a lovely day out with some of my family in London. We visited Spitalfields for a spot of shopping & lunch. If you’ve never visited Spitalfields, I highly recommend it, it has a mixture of quirky shops and a massive market which changes throughout the week. Tuesdays tend to be one of the quieter days of the week and you can really get to know and chat with the market traders, selling a variety of goods from clothes, vintage items and antiques; we got into quite in depth conversation with a lovely gentleman selling kitchenware!

There is also an amazing choice of street food an restaurants offering an array of delicious delights from all around the world.
We enjoyed refreshing drinks from a stall selling smoothies, fruit juices and lemonade. This watermelon juice was delicious!

To satisfy my hunger, I enjoyed a cheeseburger & fries from Bleecker st. Burger; they cook the burgers fresh to order and the fries were to die for…just so yummy!

It’s best to get some food in before the local office workers get out to lunch though, there were queues everywhere just after 12pm!

After we satisfied our hungry tummies, we enjoyed few shops, I do enjoy a spot of window shopping and had to take a photo of this Alice in Wonderland display in Source Lifestyle (we did go in and have a look too!) These light up letters are lovely, you can buy the letters individually for £50 each. The Alice in Wonderland range is beautiful too, they sell pin badges, fridge magnets, candles, cake picks and some lovely cake stands and teapots.

The last shop we visited was Anthropologie, I’ve been wanting to visit one of these stores for a while now. They sell fashion, accessories and homeware.

I just had to make a purchase!

When I spotted these monogram mugs I just couldn’t resist, I’ve wanted some mugs like this for a while and bought the T mug for me and a K for the hubby.

They’re really nice and chunky and I love the unusual shape of them. I seem to have a slight obsession with mugs and teacups! I loved these teacups too, as they are unusual with the little feet…they look like little bathtubs!

I’ve noticed that decorating your own mugs with sharpies seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment aswell, maybe I’ll make that a future blog post!!
